Holcomb Jr. High School Female Athlete

Jordan J.

Jordan J. has been nominated for Holcomb Jr. High School Athlete of the Week for Basketball.  In our first three games of the season, Jordan has been our leading rebounder and scorer.  Jordan began the season as our main post player, but made the switch to a shooting guard to help the team!  Jordan is a leader on and off the court.  Jordan works very hard in practice and is determined to make herself and her teammates better.  Jordan has a great work ethic and attitude and it carries over into the games!  Her great attitude makes her teammates work harder as well!  Keep up the good work and Congratulations Jordan!!

Holcomb Jr. High School Male Athlete

Garrett J.

Garrett J. has been nominated for Holcomb Jr. High School Athlete of the Week for Wrestling.  Garrett put on an outstanding performance at the Scott City Dual Wrestling Tournament.  Not many people make this list after a loss, but Garrett deserves it.  Garrett drew a match with one of Scott City's best wrestlers, Jarrett W.  The wrestler from Scott City is one of the best in the entire state and Garrett is a second year wrestler.  Garrett battled the entire match and dropped a hard fought 4-3 decision that surprised everyone, including Garrett.  Garrett has grown as a wrestler and competes well in every match.  He should be proud of the effort he puts in to get better.  Great Job Garrett!!

MS Wrestling Coach:  Terry Johnson
