High School Male Athlete
Mitchell G.
Mitchell G. has been nominated for High School
Athlete of the Week for Cross Country. Mitchell is a true team
leader. His positive influence on his teammates and for his
teammates is one of his greatest qualities. Mitchell's work ethic
and sense of what needs to be done to improve the team are second to
none. Mitchell has lead study groups, used knowledge from camps
and studying, to help develop better training for the team. He has
also sacrificed personal performance and placing for the team.
Mitchell organized team runs over the summer to prepare the team for
this year's season. The Boys Cross Country Team was in the best
shape coming into the season of any team we have had. Cross
Country is a true team sport as every runner must score. Mitchell
sees the big picture and the importance of all on the team and proudly
takes his position on the team wherever it is needed. Mitchell
completes the season with the following honors: All-League,
All-Region, All-State, and All-State Academic Team.

Jr. High School Female Athlete
Katie P.

Katie P. was nominated as the Jr. High School Girls
Volleyball Athlete of the Week. Katie is a member of the 8th grade girls
Lady Longhorn Volleyball Team. Katie's enthusiasm and desire to work hard
helped lead the 8th grade team to great success. Katie filled the position
of setter and passer this season. I appreciate her stepping up and taking
on both roles. Way to go
